St. Paul Brand Photography for vintage store The Mustache Cat
The Mustache Cat is a home goods shop based in St. Paul that brings vintage and modern pieces together. The owner and founder, Rebecca, worked at Wayfair for years as a home curator. She had a vision for her own store that would bring sustainability and style into the home goods space, so she dreamed up The Mustache Cat.
Named after her adorable cat Bernie, she wanted The Mustache Cat to showcase how vintage pieces can have new life in different homes, especially when paired with other modern furniture and decor.
Rebecca connected with us before there was a storefront. She had the visual brand pieces of a logo, color palette, fonts, and the start of a website, but no photos to go in it. Her designer provided her with great animations, but she knew her face and Bernie’s needed to be on the website, marketing materials, and social media accounts to create a connection.
Over the course of a year, we did two brand photoshoots to help support The Mustache Cat’s launch!
Rebecca brought a big orange couch to our old studio in NE Minneapolis for her first brand photoshoot. We photographed Rebecca setting up a few vignettes that showed the possibilities of mixing vintage and modern pieces. Bernie tagged along as well and posed alongside Rebecca with the help of some cat treats.
These images were used to launch The Mustache Cat’s website and social media as Rebecca worked on her St. Paul storefront. Once the space was painted and filled with great inventory, Rebecca had us back for a second brand photography shoot to capture the store. Adorable Bernie was there again to smile, pose, and offer his support.
The storefront opened a year ago today! Rebecca is hosting a celebration tonight, so stop by The Mustache Cat to support a local, woman-owned business that values fellow women makers and sustainability!
